Because here in Fernchester, everyone has the spirit of a pokemon residing in them. These spirits grant wonderous powers, but these powers come at a price. There are laws in place that keep all intruders out who wish to use these people and their powers for selfish reasons. But this doesn't mean everything here is perfect. Because in a town where everyone knows everything, and rumors spread like wildfire, there’s always a chance that information could slip out, and trouble could come and ruin the delicate peace the people of Fernchester have worked for thousands of years to maintain.



Fernchester is the name of a city and it's surrounding areas located on a mountainside. It's a mysterious place that feels strangely magical. People rarely ever come or leave Fernchester because it's not on any map, and it's almost impossible to find again once you leave, even if you swear you marked your path. It's magic like that (think Hogwarts). Fernchester is a weird place, because despite being on the side of a mountain, it's rarely too cold or too hot, and there are various types of terrain in such a small location. But then, that's the beauty of Fernchester. Anyone can make it their home. If you want beaches, though, you'll definitely have to look elsewhere, because the closest thing here is Fern Lake.

- Internet and social media exist in Fernchester, however, it's fairly limited, and mostly only circles around Fernchester rather than the outside world as well. However, pop culture is basically the same, if you were to make any references to it. Except the pokemon series or anything related to it. That doesn't really "exist" as a series!.



Pokemon University has been around for as long as anyone can remember. Once a child hits puberty, their Pokemon powers become more distinct, and the year they reach age sixteen, they're enrolled in Pokemon University to learn how to control their powers. Everyone is required to complete four years of the University, and classes are pretty strict. The school teaches basic academic courses, as well as battle and medical training.

- Third and fourth year students may take advanced classes if they're interested in furthering their academic career and majoring in more difficult studies (advanced medicine or law, for example).
