➤ cassandra comes from a long line of absol family-members who are also named after ancient prophets. she's not the first cassandra in her family and she definitely won't be the last. in fact, cassandra was her great-grandmother's name. her father was tiresias argyris IV.

➤ the way her spirit manifests, she gained some of her powers early. namely it came in the form of good gut feelings, and then in the form of prophetic visions. she predicted the death of her mother via car crash only a few days before.

➤ cassandra doesn't tell anyone about her visions, told often by her father that speaking of the future does little to change it. though her father warns her that fate is set in stone and she can do nothing to rewrite its path, they both know that the calling of their spirit demands that she attempt to do something to prevent disaster. however, like all absol-spirited people, she is associated with the disaster itself and seen as a bearer of terrible fate.

➤ she's really into dark wave music and experimental noisepop. she makes music at home, usually very experimental, noise-based music that doesn't always sound that great. she isn't good at writing lyrics, preferring instrumentals or mashups of other sound sources.

➤ she hates being called cassie or sandy. her mother insisted on calling her by her middle name, isadore, and she detests anyone using that name as well. she plans on continuing the family line, even though she's told by her mother's siblings that perhaps her children won't be cursed with the absol spirit. cassandra knows better.

➤ she actually kinda likes her curse. it fuels her musical and artistic passion. since she's found she can do little to save people, she instead channels her regret and remorse into song and paint. her music isn't pleasant to listen to, but for her, it's cathartic. it keeps her from collapsing into despair, and she needs all the pick-me-ups she can get.

➤ when she wants someone to go away, she has a list of false death predictions that she can rattle off to get them to leave her alone. she's not exactly antisocial, but she has a habit of seeing bad things and it makes getting to know people difficult. her family has a history of being unlucky, too, so she's often avoided by people.

➤ her surname usually takes precedent over the surnames of any spouse born into their family. children with the spirit are usually known at birth, due to absol-spirited people being very in-tune with disaster and misfortune, and the absol spirit being one usually associated with such things.

➤ if we had a gothitelle, she'd probably be best friends with them. together they can predict all the death and demise that the entire world's going to face.

➤ due to the whole "cursed family" thing, cassandra lives on the farther side of fernchester. her family is said to be very, uh, eccentric. her mother's family still isn't sure why her mother married her father.
