➤ her name is pronounced "EE-fa". she's heard every single mispronunciation by now.

➤ she actually had pretty big dreams as a kid and wanted to leave Fernchester to become a forensic scientist, specializing in autopsy. she stole her father's car and drove as far out into the mountains as she could. but eventually she hit the barrier, and had to turn back. humiliated, she returned the car, but did not return herself, and vanished into the city for a while. only after running out of money and having to live homeless for a while, couchsurfing with anyone she could, did she bother sucking up her pride and going back to her parents for help.

➤ her family is a long line of "healer spirits." she used to hate it, and part of her still does. but she shows significant mastery of her powers, one of the few in her family capable of "mega evolution."

➤ currently lives alone, but sometimes she's joined by an on-again, off-again girlfriend. they've been going back and forth in this stupid dance for four years, with something always tearing them apart-- other women, her girlfriend's devotion to her job (gf is a cop), aoife's midlife crisis. that sort of thing. they've been off for a month. aoife misses her.

➤ aoife is the youngest of five siblings. she grew up having to fight for attention and the limelight. she'd get it easy, since she's pretty good at being loud. however, her ambitions and desire for spotlight and fast action grew far beyond her ability.

➤ in case you can't tell, she has problems with money. it just tends to vanish when it's in her bank account.

➤ her family runs a clinic, using their healing powers to help the community. aoife refuses to work there, so she teaches instead. she wanted to teach a science, but there were no openings when she needed a job and she couldn't afford to wait. she's got tenure now and has been teaching for over ten years at the academy.

➤ she originally started dating her girlfriend because of her own abandoned dreams of working in law enforcement (though in forensics). said gf's small-town cop life involves being more of a meter maid than a fast-lane violent crime cop, and said gf is also very glad to keep it that way.

➤ aoife has every single episode of deadly women on a youtube playlist. she memorizes ridiculous case details. she can rattle off profiles of serial killers off the top of her head. she's really good at anatomy. she's a big fan of dexter and csi and any sort of true crime show series. she has an entire bookshelf at home dedicated to mysteries, whether they be novels or tellings of cold cases. her ideal vacation would be a visit to the jack the ripper museum. please don't ask her about her hobbies ever. she's morbid.

➤ as an audino-spirit, she's pretty good at staying healthy. she appears physically younger than she is, and rarely gets sick. she heals from small cuts in a manner of hours, and broken bones in half the time it'd take a normal adult. it's not immediate healing, though, because that's lame from a story-telling standpoint and i'm not here for it. breaking her leg would still set her back, just not as long as anyone else. with the use of heal pulse, she can lessen the time needed for others to heal, too.

➤ she's started a bunch of crime novels, but stopped when she realized they were too close to actual cases and she felt it would be in poor taste to write about actual events without the permission of the families of the victims.

➤ she's currently going through a midlife crisis. recently she's sold a lot of her furniture and is replacing it with completely different pieces. she's adopted a cat. she has no idea what she's doing with a cat, as she's never really liked them, but it seemed like a good thing to do. she spends a few hours a night flipping through her true crime novels, wondering if she made a mistake by giving up.

➤ she has exceptionally good hearing. she isn't a teacher whose class you can text or whisper or pass notes through.
