➤ only daughter of a long line of doctors, socialites, and performers, a family of which is comprised of honor, serenity, and elegance. a family who always makes sure to keep up their reputation of being proud and upstanding civilians, being the prime example of those around them. her father a brilliant doctor who always has a calming effect around his coworkers and patients. her mother the personification of an ideal housewife with a gorgeous voice to rival her appearance -- cultured and precise in everything. their daughter, a girl most dreamy and idealistic, yet naïve, clumsy, ditzy, and somehow having the spirit of milotic. an uncanny match.

➤ with her personality was her looks. as a child, she was awfully chubby. chubby with round cheeks that always had a flustered blush on them and frizzy, puffy blob of bright ruby hair, she always thought of herself as having more of dedenne in her if anything. but that was not possible if she were a mizuno. but it certainly didn't help with the nicknames she had as a child.

➤ maybe she was adopted, she wondered, many times over. but if she was, then the spirit would not have been hers. maybe she had a twin sister once. twins had matching spirits right? ... right? nevertheless, akemi has tried her best to match up to the family name as expected of her especially as she grew older and she became more beautiful. just like the feebas, she grew into somebody matching with her spirit's aesthetic. long, long dark pink hair and lighter rose quartz-like eyes that contrasted with dark lashes. akemi was suitable for her spirit and her namesake.

➤ when she did get pretty, she became obsessed over it. she had to maintain it, make it better. it had to be better. everyday, she woke up early to make sure everything was maintained -- moisturizers, creams, and the like. she felt she could aligned herself with people who she felt were beautiful at school. sadly the thing was, even if you were like them physically, sometimes you couldn't become like them no matter how much makeup you tried or how much you tried to adjust to the cliché, cutthroat lifestyle of a popular kid. so she was stuck back in her childhood. she was so stuck and felt so selfish. but her parents were always there to reassure her that she was beautiful, not because she became so in other's eyes but in heart she was. that was all to beauty, which what her family strived to be. and that's all she really wanted.

➤ so here she was in the pokemon academy, still stuck and forever dreaming life away not only about being up to milotic and the mizuno name but now with what her life will be like once academy's over. she tries to stay beautiful in her heart but it's so easy to say for others, especially her parents, she feels because she felt she was never beautiful at heart.
