Because here in Fernchester, everyone has the spirit of a pokemon residing in them. These spirits grant wonderous powers, but these powers come at a price. There are laws in place that keep all intruders out who wish to use these people and their powers for selfish reasons. But this doesn't mean everything here is perfect. Because in a town where everyone knows everything, and rumors spread like wildfire, there’s always a chance that information could slip out, and trouble could come and ruin the delicate peace the people of Fernchester have worked for thousands of years to maintain. |
