BIOGRAPHY
➤ born ami himura, but changed his name when he began to transition at seventeen. he hasn't attempted to shift his voice much, and still has a soft, slow, almost lazy way of speaking, and often drones in monotone.
➤ entered the academy late at sixteen due to a continuing hardship with studying and schoolwork in general, and has been held back a year since. although he tries, he often spends hours working with little to no actual payoff, and seems to forget things as quickly as he remembers them. he's much better with emotional and philosophical subjects than he is with anything scientific or tangible.
➤ grew up helping out in his father's corner-shop as a child, but was set out to find a job of his own once he reached academy-ready age; he juggled numerous failed tries before finally finding poorly paid but stable work as a busboy in a local diner. he's fairly useful for keeping plates warm when the hotplate breaks for the fifth time in the same week. if there's a science he actually has a knack for, it's baking... although he tends to eat his creations, not sell them.
➤ naturally high body temperature; with enough focus, he can super-heat specific areas of his body, but he has tenuous control over it at best and, due to his general scatterbrained-ness, often burns himself severely in the attempt.
➤ best friends with seether wruck and ambrose mcnamara. they're currently saving up extra money to move in together after graduation, but he lives with his mother, a proud incineroar, during breaks, and rooms with seether the rest of the year. he's a bit (read: a lot) oblivious to the depth of his feelings when it comes to "seebs," but he's always been better at seeing other people's lives than what's happening in his.
➤ both of his canines are oddly elongated, although the left has long since been chipped in half.
➤ great night vision, but pretty terrible during the day, especially in bright light.
➤ purrs. no, really. it's loud, too, a constant, contented thrum.
➤ pudgy. he likes snacks more than exercising, okay?
