DEVIN 19 - male - charizard - het [attr="class","likeit-scroll"] friendships a kind but idiodic fool with anger problems on the side. he's not all sunshine and rainbows, but he'll be there for any friend who comes his way. he's a really good guy, i promise, and he deserves all the love in the world. romances if you like pina coladas and awkward pickup lines, then you're in for a real treat, ladies, cuz daddy's home. his kid siblings come first tho. he does have priorities, ok. enemies he'll kick your ass, he'll kick your dog's ass, he'll kick his own ass. | like a small boat on the ocean

bailey 16 - female - eevee - het [attr="class","likeit-scroll"] friendships bailey is just another average sixten year old girl. caught up in the winds of her pubescent years and desperate not to let her life slip away and become meaningless. she's outgoing enough, she isn't picky about the people she surrounds herself with, and enjoys keeping up with all the friends she makes. despite being a kind person, though, she's not afraid to tell it like it is, or cut a bitch if need be. it wouldn't be weird to just know bailey because she's the youngest of the anderson siblings, and there are a fuckton of them in fernchester. romances like any teenage girl, bailey is always looking for that special someone. the prince charming who will come and sweep her off her feet. she has high expectations, but her only experience with romance was her first grade sandbox boyfriend who broke her heart the next day because another girl in their class brought a cool truck to school and let him play with it. she's pure and innocent, and deserves a kind and loving guy in her life, but im not at all worried about pairing her up with anyone. if it happens, it happens, but it's not a priority. flirtationships are gladly welcomed, as are any one-sided girl-crushes with classmates because bailey would be completely oblivious and it would be cute? enemies bailey does a fantastic job at getting along with pretty much everyone, and she doesn't have a bad bone in her body. however she doesn't take shit from others. just because she's sweet, doesn't mean she won't beat the shit out of you if you do her wrong. she's young and naive, but she respects herself enough to know when she's being used, and she won't stand for it. she's also the sort of person who will stand up for her friends if need be. bailey isn't necessarily the brave or chivalrous type, but she's not opposed to beating anyone down if they harm anyone she considers a friend. enemies of her friends are her enemies as well. also, if you're a teacher, she probably hates you regardless, because she's bad at school, and she's absolutely the type of person who pins the blame on her teachers for her bad grades. | i'm no fool, no, i'm not a follower

SO i'm not sure about specific ideas but i feel like hunter and devin would both play off of aki's general laziness/bluntness well! he'd probably be more amused than anything by hunter's cockiness, but he might be a bit too blunt to get away with a smooth friendship... and end up accidentally offending him, whoops. a friendly rivalry might be fitting, since he can't hold a grudge to save his life (that's about 5 million more effort than he expends on anything tbh).
as for devin, aki has experience with friends with anger issues (thanks seether) so i can see him offering to spar and otherwise work it out productively? he's also a good person to rant/vent to, but the whole kick everyone's ass thing might be more in line with a friendly fight now and again, lmao.

AKIO HIMURA - i'm 100% down for hunter getting weirdly offended by aki's bluntness. idk what he'd even say to offend hunter, but it would definitely be amusing nonetheless. as for devin, sparring buddies would be fun and interesting. they're in the same year, so maybe they share battle class together or something? plus they're also both fire-types so maybe they'd share techniques with each other? GUNNER - yeah unfortunately, hunter is a pretty shit upstairs neighbor. he'd apologize, but he's just not that kind of guy. either way, i actually think they'd get along, as long as gunner doesn't know it's hunter making all the noise above him at 2am (though i guess thats unlikely since hunter's definitely gonna be spending a large amount of time with oliver lol). it'd be priceless for hunter to knock on their dorm room expecting oliver and get gunner instead and just awkwardly have no idea what to say to him because he's intimidating and old and hunter is... dumb... |

ooh sharing battle class would be rad! i can definitely see aki gravitating towards another fire-type like, the first day just to have some common ground for at least attempting to do well... plus, if they work well together he might ask for help in general with controlling his fire, since he tends to burn himself pretty badly more often than not?

AKIO HIMURA - dev can definitely give aki some tips on battling and not burning himself. he might get a little annoyed if aki doesnt get it immediately, but hes the kind of guy who likes teaching people what he knows, so he'll be excited about it regardless.

BAILEY ANDERSON bluh okay here's me offering mj up like a sacrificial lamb as a possible love interest because again 10/10 would try his very best to be a good bf and how can i pass up the chance for a cheesy flower shop au thing... even if they don't go down this path, i think there's possibility for something interesting - bailey wants to be a fraction of her siblings' greatness, but mj is comfortable being a nobody and just owning his humble lil flower shop, and i feel like he'd want to encourage her to just pursue what she loves even if it doesn't equate to a very prosperous or noteworthy future because personal happiness and fulfillment is more important in his opinion. the mentality might not be something she shares, and potentially turn into a source of conflict too. ( and idk if she'd be the sort who'd only be on the lookout for big shots, future doctors/lawyers sort because i feel like that would intimidate mj or conversely make him start wondering if he can be worth something more. i think he'd be a little daunted by her family and that might also ultimately lead to them breaking off because he thinks she deserves someone better than the local florist, but again will do his best. will make the nicest bouquets. ) his fears still stand tho, he tries to suppress his emotions to keep them in check so that his powers don't hurt others, but i think her outgoing approachability will help balance out his very quiet and introverted self. |

PARK MIN JAE - im interested in seeing where this goes. bailey is definitely the type of girl who hopes for greatness, and tries 457841514578 different things to see where her talents lie, but perhaps mj could convince her that she's perfectly fine the way she is? she might not notice or consider him at first as a possible love interest because he's pretty quiet, and who knows if he'd make the first move, but he's definitely the kind of 'pretty' she'd be interested in (and as a 16 year old girl, she's all about attractive faces and all that) so maybe she'd take that big ole step forward after getting to know him a bit? also, conveniently, she knows sand-attack which i'm pretty sure weakens electric-type attacks in the anime because its a ground-type move that kicks sand into the air. it would probably have a similar effect in this world sooo maybe she's sorta safe from his zappy zaps??
